Chris Moore
Co-founder
Chris Moore is co-founder of Up Side Down. After being involved with NoFit State Circus from a young age, Chris trained at the National Centre for Circus Arts in London, from there he went and trained in multiple schools around the UK and Europe. He went on to perform and teach globally with multiple companies before setting up Up Side Down Circus. He teaches many of our classes, including flying trapeze, Chinese pole and ground-based skills.
Tammi Brown
Co-founder
Tammi Brown is co-founder of Up Side Down. She has performed in amazing locations all over the world—from a castle in Milan to a manor in Scotland—and taught in countries including America, Australia, Ireland, Italy and Spain.
Sam Smart
Aerial trainer
Sam Smart is an aerial trainer. She joined NoFit State Circus in 2008, training in static trapeze, aerial hoop, aerial hammock, rope and silks. Sam also enjoys Chinese pole, as well as photography and making sparkly hula hoops. She teaches aerial hoop, private lessons and mixed aerial at Up Side Down.
Hele White
Aerial trainer
Hele White is an aerial trainer. She started learning static trapeze, aerial hoop, rope and silks with NoFit State. Hele works as a therapy radiographer for the NHS and teaches mixed aerial at Up Side Down. She enjoys Chinese pole, static cloud swing and aerial loops.
Kaiya Thomas
Trainer
Kaiya Thomas teaches rope and silks and the introduction to aerial course. She joined NoFit State’s youth circus at an early age and graduated from Circomedia in Bristol in 2020. She is a contemporary circus artist, who enjoys performance and teaching and specialises in aerial, movement and acrobalance.
Bee
Aerial yoga trainer
Bee teaches aerial yoga. She started learning static trapeze, rope and silks at NoFit State Circus and joined Up Side Down as a community member. She loves nature, sculpting and painting. Bee is interested in mindfulness and is also a Reiki practitioner.
Jess Li
Silks trainer
Jess Li teaches silks at Up Side Down Circus. She first started learning silks eight years ago, after spotting a set hanging in her gym. Jess specialises in moves based on flexibility. She works as a civil engineer and also enjoys crochet, gymnastics and learning Welsh.
Nicky Pearson
Guest trainer
Nicole Pearson is an award-winning aerial artist and a guest trainer with Up Side Down. She trained at École Nationale de Cirque in Montreal, Canada, and toured all over the world with Cirque du Soleil. She teaches static trapeze and silks at Up Side Down, as well as running masterclasses.
