Tickets go on sale for our fifth birthday Halloween show

September 30, 2022

Roll up! Roll up! Get your tickets for our fifth birthday Halloween show spooky spectacular! Come and marvel at mermaids, monsters, sirens, spirits and vampires.

With autumn in the air, tickets go on sale on Saturday, October 1. We have 50 performers ready to wow you with their skills from aerial hoop to flying trapeze.

Chris Moore, co-founder of Up Side Down Circus, said the show is inspired by “cryptozoology”, which is the study of animals that may or may not exist – think Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster.

The show will take place at our training space in Unit Two of the Cave Venture Workshops on Tremorfa Industrial Estate in Cardiff at 6pm on Sunday, October 30.

Community members from all skills and levels have been busy creating acts for the show, which will celebrate five years of Up Side Down.

Co-founders Chris Moore and Tammi Brown got the keys to the building on October 2, 2017.They worked hard to transform the space before an opening night cabaret at the end of that month.

Class-goers have been busy building routines and developing characters, ready to impress friends and family with their acts. Some have performed before and for others, it’s their first time.

Director Kaiya Thomas said: “Taking part in the show is an amazing opportunity for all of our lovely community members, whether they’ve been part of a performance before or it’s their first time.”

On the line-up, we have mermaids, monsters, sirens, spirits and vampires. Look out too for fallen angels and marionettes, plus yōkai – a creature from Japanese folk tales.

There will be a mixture of seated and promenade performance, suitable for adults and children. There will also be a bar, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Tickets are £5 at full-price and £3 for under-fives. They can be bought through this Eventbrite page
